<Text>pursuant to section 99(1)(a) of the Terrorism Act<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> (“the <Abbreviation Expansion="Terrorism Act 2000 c. 11">2000 Act</Abbreviation>”) the Secretary of State may issue a code of practice in connection with the exercise by police officers of any power conferred by the 2000 Act;</Text>

<Text>pursuant to section 101(2) of the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the code of practice in connection with the exercise by police officers of the powers of detention and identification conferred by the 2000 Act and has considered representations made to him about it and modified it as he thinks appropriate;</Text>

<Text>pursuant to section 101(3) of the 2000 Act the Secretary of State has laid a draft of the code of practice before Parliament;</Text>
