REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE
These Regulations replace the Representation of the People (Northern Ireland) Regulations 1986, as amended, (“the 1986 Regulations”). These Regulations are needed in consequence of changes made by the Representation of the People Act 2000 (“the 2000 Act”).

The returning officer shall make such arrangements as he thinks fit to ensure that every person attending the proceedings in connection with the issue or receipt of postal ballot papers has been given a copy in writing of the provisions of subsections (4) and (6) of section 66 of the 1983 Act50.
