The National Institutions Measure 1998 (Amendment) Resolution 2001

This Resolution may be cited as the National Institutions Measure 1998 (Amendment) Resolution 2001 and shall come into force on 1st January 2002.

Members of the Council elected under paragraph 1(1)(d), (e) or (f) above or appointed under paragraph 1(2) above shall serve for such number of years as may be determined in each case by the General Synod, being—
(a)
in the case of members so elected, not less than three and not more than five years, and
(b)
in the case of members so appointed, not less than one year and not more than five years.”.
This Resolution amends Schedule 1 to the National Institutions Measure 1998, so as to reduce from three years to one year the minimum period of service of members of the Archbishops' Council who are appointed by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, acting jointly.
