PART II BUILDING SOCIETIES

Amendments to the Building Societies Act 1986

161.  In section 68(1)—

(a) in subsection (5) for the words—

(i) “Commission” and

(ii) “central office”

there is substituted “Authority”, and

(b) in subsection (9)—

(i) for the words “Commission may, by order made with the consent of the Treasury,” there is substituted “Treasury may by order”, and

(ii) for the words “it thinks” there is substituted “they think”.
