Section 144 of the Act, together with the entries in Schedule 22 to the Act relating to paragraph 35 of Schedule 4 to the Representation of the People Act 19852, Schedule 10 to the Broadcasting Act 19963 and paragraph 28 of Schedule 3 to the Greater London Authority Act 19994 shall come into force on 16th March 2001; except that section 144 shall come into force on 16th February 2001 for the purposes of drawing up the codes referred to in section 93 of the Representation of the People Act 19835, as substituted by that section.
