The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 11(4) and 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and extent1.
(1)
This Order may be cited as the Retained Organs Commission (Establishment and Constitution) Amendment Order 2001 and shall come into force on 31st May 2001.
(2)
This Order extends to England only.
Amendment of the Retained Organs Commission (Establishment and Constitution) Order 20012.
In article 4 of the Retained Organs Commission (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2001 (constitution of the Commission)2, in paragraph (b), for “7” substitute “9”.

This Order amends the Retained Organs Commission (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2001 by increasing from 7 to 9 the maximum number of members of the Commission who are not officers.
