These Regulations amend the Public Service Vehicles (Conditions of Fitness, Equipment, Use and Certification) Regulations 1981 as follows.

The fee payable for a certificate of initial fitness is increased by 3% from £164 to £169 on the first application in respect of a public service vehicle which, when equipped with seat belts otherwise than as required by regulation 47 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, is not of a type of vehicle in respect of which the Secretary of State is satisfied that the vehicle manufacturer holds certain approvals relating to seat belt anchorage points.

The fee payable for a certificate of initial fitness is increased by 3.1% from £131 to £135 on the first application in any other case.

The fee payable for a certificate of initial fitness is increased by 3.1% from £131 to £135 on any subsequent application when the test which that application will require includes a test of stability under regulation 6.

The fees payable for type approvals are increased from £760, £71, £375 and £1625 to respectively £783, £73, £386 and £1674 (increases of 3%, 2.8%, 2.9% and 3% respectively).

The fee payable for a duplicate certificate is increased by 5% from £10 to £10.50.
