Whereas:
by paragraph 3(1)(a) of Schedule 8 to the Terrorism Act 20001 (“the 2000 Act”) the Secretary of State is required to issue a code of practice in connection with the audio recording of any interview by a constable of a person detained under Schedule 7 to or section 41 of the 2000 Act if the interview takes place in a police station;
pursuant to paragraph 4(2) of Schedule 8 to the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the code of practice in connection with the above matter and has considered representations made to him about it and modified it as he thinks appropriate;
pursuant to paragraph 4(3) of Schedule 8 to the 2000 Act, the Secretary of State has laid a draft of the code of practice before Parliament;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by paragraph 4(4) of Schedule 8 to the 2000 Act the Secretary of State makes the following Order, a draft of which has been laid before Parliament in accordance with section 123(4)(k) of the 2000 Act and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
