Transitional Provisions
2.—(1) In relation to the financial year beginning in 2000, sections 113 and 115 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 shall be modified in accordance with this article.
(2) In section 113—
(a)in subsection (1), for “the beginning of each financial year” substitute “3rd July 2000” and for “that year” substitute “the part of the financial year beginning on 3rd July 2000 and ending with 31st March 2001”; and
(b)in subsection (5)—
(i)in paragraph (a) for “financial year” substitute “part of the financial year beginning on 3rd July 2000 and ending with 31st March 2001”; and
(ii)in each of paragraphs (b), (c) and (d), insert “part of the” before “year”.
(3) In section 115—
(a)in subsection (1), for “to each of the functional bodies” substitute “(which shall include the amount allocated and the purposes for which the amount is allocated) to each of the functional bodies, the Assembly and the Secretary of State”; and
(b)omit subsection (2) and, in subsection (3), “or (2)”.
