Amendment of the Principal Regulations 2 Part I of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations shall be amended in respect of Regulation 4(2)(a) by replacing the words “24 hours” in column (2) with the words “18 hours”. These Regulations amend the Electricity (Standards of Performance) Regulations 1993 as amended by the Electricity (Standards of Performance) (Amendment) Regulations 1995 and the Electricity (Standards of Performance) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 (“the Principal Regulations”).

Regulation 2 amends the Schedule to the Principal Regulations by reducing from 24 to 18 hours the time public electricity suppliers have to restore interrupted supplies before making penalty payments to affected customers.
