Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter act4, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the East Hertfordshire and the North Hertfordshire National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.
Dissolution of NHS trusts2.
The East Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust established by the East Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order5 and the North Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust established by the North Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order6 are hereby dissolved, and accordingly those Orders are hereby revoked.

This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 2000 of the East Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust and the North Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust.
This Order should be read in conjunction with the East and North Hertfordshire National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 20007.
