The Grantham and District Hospital, the Lincoln and Louth and the Pilgrim Health National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act4, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Grantham and District Hospital, the Lincoln and Louth and the Pilgrim Health National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

Dissolution of NHS trusts2.

(1)

The Grantham and District Hospital National Health Service Trust established by the Grantham and District Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19945 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

(2)

The Lincoln and Louth National Health Service Trust established by the Lincoln Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19936 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

(3)

The Pilgrim Health National Health Service Trust established by the Pilgrim Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19937 is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

This Order dissolves on 1st April 2000:

  • the Grantham and District Hospital National Health Service Trust;

  • the Lincoln and Louth National Health Service Trust; and

  • the Pilgrim Health National Health Service Trust.

It should be read in conjunction with the United Lincolnshire Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 20008, which establishes a new NHS trust.
