The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5(1) of, and paragraphs 1 and 3 of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having completed the consultation prescribed by section 5(2) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:

1990 c. 19; paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 is cited for the definition of “an order”. Section 5 was amended by paragraph 69 of Schedule 1 to the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c. 17) and by section 13 of the Health Act 1999 (c. 8).
