The European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2000

The Secretary of State, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 2nd April 2001.

2.  The Schedule to the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) Regulations 1999(2) is amended by:

(a)substituting, in respect of the entries in the first column listed below, the sums set out below in relation to those entries for the sums specified in relation to those entries in the second column of the Schedule to those Regulations as follows:

(i)entry 2

£6.50

(ii)entry 3 (delivered at an office of the registrar of companies)

£6.50

(iii)entry 3 (delivered by post)

£9.50

(iv)entry 4 (second element) if requested otherwise

£6.50
plus £1.00 for each copy document supplied.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations govern the statutory fees for microfiche based information services for european economic interest groupings and amend the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) Regulations 1999.

Regulation 2 amends the European Economic Interest Grouping (Fees) Regulations 1999 by:

(1) increasing the fees applicable in respect of the following matters from £5.00 to £6.50

(a)the inspection of a basic set of microfiche copies (Fee No. 2),

(b)the delivery of a basic set of microfiche copies at an office of the registrar (Fee No. 3 (first element)),

(c)the delivery of a paper copy of records kept by the registrar relating to a European Economic Interest Grouping delivered at the office of the registrar otherwise than at the time of the microfiche (Fee No. 4 (second element)), plus £1.00 for each copy document supplied; and

(2) increasing the fee from £8.00 to £9.50 for the delivery by post of a basic set of microfiche copies (Fee No. 3 (second element)).
