and</p></content></hcontainer></paragraph><wrapUp><p>any reference to the map is a reference to the map prepared by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions marked “Map of the London Borough of Redbridge (Electoral Changes) Order 2000”, and deposited in accordance with regulation 27 of the Local Government Changes for England Regulations 1994<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00003" marker="3"><p><abbr class="acronym" title="Statutory Instrument">S.I.</abbr> <ref eId="c00003" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/1994/867">1994/867</ref>, to which there are amendments not relevant to this Order.</p></authorialNote>.</p></wrapUp></article><article eId="article-2"><heading>Wards of the London borough of Redbridge</heading><num>2.</num><paragraph eId="article-2-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>The existing wards of the borough<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00004" marker="4"><p><i>See</i> the London Borough of Redbridge (Electoral Arrangements) Order 1977 (<abbr class="acronym" title="Statutory Instrument">S.I.</abbr> <ref eId="c00004" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/1977/1546">1977/1546</ref>).</p></authorialNote> shall be abolished.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-2-2"><num>(2)</num><content><p>The borough shall be divided into twenty-one wards which shall bear the names set out in the Schedule.</p></content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-2-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>The wards shall comprise the areas designated on the map by reference to the name of the ward and demarcated by red lines; The changes have effect in relation to local government elections to be held on and after 2nd May 2002.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Article 2 abolishes the existing wards of the borough and provides for the creation of 21 new wards. That article and the Schedule also make provision for the names of the new wards. Each ward will be represented by 3 councillors.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Article 3 revokes the London Borough of Redbridge (Electoral Arrangements) Order 1977.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>The areas of the new wards are demarcated on the map described in article 1(3).
