<Text>Whereas in pursuance of section 2(3) of the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine has made rules entitled “The Registration (Amendment) Rules 2000”;</Text>

<Text>And whereas such rules shall not come into force until confirmed by Order of the Privy Council;</Text>

<Text>The Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine, in exercise of its powers under section 2 of the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960, and after consultation with all the Boards for the time being established under the said Act, hereby makes the following Rules—</Text>

<Text>The Rules may be cited as the Registration (Amendment) Rules 2000.</Text>

<Text>The Registration Rules 1962 (scheduled to the Professions Supplementary to Medicine (Registration Rules) Order of Council 1962<FootnoteRef Ref="f00002"/>) shall be further amended as follows:</Text>

<Pnumber>i</Pnumber>

<Text>Rule 15 shall be deleted and the following Rule shall be substituted therefor:</Text>

<Text>The registration fee shall be paid at the time of the application for registration. With effect from 1st December 2000, the fee shall, subject to Rule 17, be £22, except for an application for registration for a period of less than 6 months, for which the fee shall be £17.</Text>

<Text>Rule 19 (iv) shall be deleted and the following Rule shall be substituted therefor:</Text>

<Text>With effect from 1st December 2000 the retention fee in respect of a year or any part of a year shall, subject to paragraph (iii) above, be £22.</Text>
