<Text>These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Act 1983 (Approved Medical Practices and Conditions of Residence) and National Health Services (General Medical Services) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 4th December.</Text>

<Text>These Regulations amend the Medical Act 1983 (Approved Medical Practices and Conditions of Residence) and National Health Service (General Medical Services) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 to extend the definition of a pre-registration house officer to a person employed under section 15A of the Medical Act 1983.
