Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after completion of the consultation prescribed under section 5(2) of the latter Act3, hereby makes the following Order.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Aylesbury Vale Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st October 2000.

Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order2

For article 3 of the Aylesbury Vale Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19914 substitute the following article—

Nature and functions of the trust3

The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

The trust’s functions shall be to provide goods and the following services for the purposes of the health service, namely hospital and community health services, at or from the following hospitals, establishments or facilities—

a

Manor House, Bierton Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP20 1EG,

b

Marlborough House, the Hospital Campus, Standing Way, Eaglestone, Milton Keynes MK6 5NG,

and at or from any associated hospitals, establishments or facilities.

This Order amends the establishment order of the Aylesbury Vale Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust, an NHS trust established by Order under Part I of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990, by substituting a new article 3 (nature and functions of the trust).
