The Education (Grants) (Wells Cathedral School) Regulations 2000
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Grants) (Wells Cathedral School) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st September 2000.
Payment of grant2.
The Secretary of State may on or before 31 October 2000 pay a grant of such amount as he may determine to the governors of Wells Cathedral School (“the School”) in respect of expenditure to be incurred by the governors, on, or in connection with, the purchase, building and equipping of premises to accommodate the International Centre for Young Musicians at Wells, Somerset.
Conditions of payment3.
The payment of grant under these Regulations shall be dependant on the fulfilment of such conditions as may be specified by the Secretary of State.
Requirements to be observed4.
Where a grant is paid under these Regulations the governors of the School shall comply with such requirements (including requirements as to the repayment of the grant or the payment to the Secretary of State of other sums representing the value of the premises purchased with the aid of grant or interest on sums due to him) as may be specified by the Secretary of State.
These Regulations authorise the Secretary of State to pay a grant to the Governors of the Wells Cathedral School, to help meet the expenditure to be incurred by them in acquiring additional new premises for the School. Payment is subect to such conditions and requirements as the Secretary of State may specify.
