THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEMEPLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE RIVER TEES BRIDGE

The location and general design of the Bridge are shown on the plan numbered D1/H728/6/3A marked “The Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council (River Tees Bridge) Scheme 2000”.

POINTS OF COMMENCEMENT AND TERMINATION

From a point on the North bank of the River Tees 827 metres south of the centre of the roundabout junction between Concorde Way and the South Stockton Link.

To a point on the South bank of the River Tees 933 metres south of the centre of the roundabout junction between Concorde Way and the South Stockton Link.

SPAN

A triple span of 106 metres overall.

HEADWAY

Not less than 5.5 metres above the maximum amenity water level upstream of the Tees Barrage of 2.85 metres AOD in the 16 metres central navigation channel and a minimum headway of 4.4 metres.

WATERWAY

A minimum clear navigable waterway of 38 metres.

OVERALL DIMENSIONS

The Bridge will be 28 metres wide overall and will carry a 7.3 metre wide dual carriageway, with a 1 metre wide hard strip and a footway and cycle way of 3 metres width on the west side of the structure.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE SCHEME

(1) Preamble to Articles, third line, delete “of the Highways Act 1980”.

(2) Insert “2.” before “This Scheme . . .” to create second Article.
