The Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2000

The Secretary of State, in pursuance of sections 22(4) and 51 of the Gaming Act 19681, and after consultation with the Gaming Board of Great Britain, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and extent1.

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 14th August 2000.

(2)

These Regulations do not extend to Scotland.

Amendment of general gaming hours2.

In regulation 4(1) of the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) Regulations 19842 for “four” there shall be substituted “six”.

These Regulations amend the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) Regulations 1984 in order to permit the extension of casino weekday opening hours from 4 a.m. until 6 a.m.
