The Data Protection (Fees under section 19(7)) Regulations 2000

These Regulations may be cited as the Data Protection (Fees under section 19(7)) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st March 2000.

The fee payable by a member of the public for the supply by the Data Protection Commissioner under section 19(7) of the Data Protection Act 1998 of a duly certified written copy of the particulars contained in any entry made in the register maintained under section 19(1) of that Act shall be £2.

These Regulations prescribe a fee of £2 to be paid to the Data Protection Commissioner for the supply of a duly certified copy of any data controller’s entry on the register.
A Regulatory Impact Assessment was prepared for the Data Protection Bill as it was then and the statutory instruments to be made under it, and was placed in the libraries of both Houses of Parliament.
