The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 26(2)(bb) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990(1) and sections 334(7), 335(2)(b) and (d), 3(d) and 7(b), 337(4) and (5), 338(8), 342(1)(b) and 343 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999(2) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and having consulted the Lord Chancellor(3) hereby makes the following Regulations:—
1990 c. 8. Section 26(2)(bb) was inserted by section 344(8) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
1999 c. 29. See section 335(8) for the definition of “the prescribed period” for the purposes of section 335, section 337(11) for the definition “the prescribed period” for the purposes of section 337 and section 350(1) for the definitions of “prescribed” and “regulations” for the purposes of Part VIII of the Act.
Section 338(8) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 requires the Secretary of State to consult the Lord Chancellor before making regulations with respect to the precedure to be followed at an examination in public held under that section 338.
