<Text>In exercise of the powers conferred by section 128(1), (2) and (6) of the Education Reform Act 1988<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, after consultation with The College of Guidance Studies higher education corporation<FootnoteRef Ref="f00002"/> and the Higher Education Funding Council for England in accordance with subsection (4) of the said section 128 and with the consent of the Canterbury Christ Church University College given in accordance with subsection (2) of that section, hereby makes the following Order:—</Text>

<Text>This Order may be cited as The College of Guidance Studies Higher Education Corporation (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st August 2000.</Text>
</P2para>

<Pnumber>2</Pnumber>

<Text>In this Order “the corporation” means The College of Guidance Studies higher education corporation.</Text>
</P2para>

<P1 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/1383/article/2/made" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2000/1383/article/2" id="article-2">
<Pnumber>2</Pnumber>
<P1para>
<Text>On 1st August 2000 the corporation shall be dissolved and all of its property, rights and liabilities shall be transferred to and vest in Canterbury Christ Church University College.</Text>
</P1para>
</P1>
<P1 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/1383/article/3/made" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2000/1383/article/3" id="article-3">
<Pnumber>3</Pnumber>
<P1para>
<Text>Section 127 of the Education Reform Act 1988 shall apply to any person employed by the corporation immediately before 1st August 2000 as if the reference in that section—</Text>

<Pnumber>a</Pnumber>

<Text>to a person to whom that section applies were to a person so employed;</Text>
