Section 49(1) of the Government of Wales Act 1998 provides for the first meeting of the National Assembly for Wales to be held on a day, and at a time and place, appointed by order by the Secretary of State.
This Order accordingly provides for the first meeting to be held on 12 May 1999 at 11 am in the chamber which has been provided for the Assembly in Crickhowell House, Cardiff Bay.
