The National Assembly for Wales (“the Assembly”) is established by the Government of Wales Act 1998 and this Order makes provision as to the conduct of elections and return of members to the Assembly. The Order makes other related provision e.g. with respect to the questioning of Assembly elections.

Prosecutions for illegal practices133
A person guilty of an illegal practice shall on summary conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale; and on a prosecution for an illegal practice it shall be sufficient to allege that the person charged was guilty of an illegal practice.
