Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Northern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust and the Southern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act4, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Northern Birmingham Community Health and the Southern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.
Dissolution of NHS trusts2
The Northern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust established by the Northern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust Establishment Order5 and the Southern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust established by the Southern Birmingham Community Health National Health Service Trust Establishment Order6 are hereby dissolved, and accordingly those Orders are hereby revoked.
