2.—(1) With effect from 15th February 1999 section 22(3) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993(1) (apportionment of money in Distribution Fund) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (6) below.
(2) In subsection (3)(a) (16⅔ per cent. to be allocated for expenditure on or connected with the arts) for “16⅔ per cent.” there shall be substituted “5 per cent.”.
(3) In subsection (3)(b) (16⅔ per cent. to be allocated for expenditure on or connected with sport) for “16⅔ per cent.” there shall be substituted “5 per cent.”.
(4) In subsection (3)(c) (16⅔ per cent. to be allocated for expenditure on or connected with the national heritage) for “16⅔ per cent.” there shall be substituted “5 per cent.”.
(5) In subsection (3)(d) (16⅔ per cent. to be allocated for charitable expenditure) for “16⅔ per cent.” there shall be substituted “5 per cent.”.
(6) In subsection (3)(f) (13⅓ per cent. to be allocated for expenditure on or connected with health, education or the environment) for “13⅓ per cent.” there shall be substituted “60 per cent.”.
Section 22 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 was amended by section 6 of the National Lottery Act 1998.
