The Greater London Authority Act 1999 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1999

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 425(2) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999(1), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1999.

Commencement of provisions

2.  Part I (and accordingly Schedules 1 to 3), in so far as not already in force, of the Greater London Authority Act 1999, and section 424 of that Act in so far as it relates to those provisions, shall come into force on 14th December 1999.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 14th December 1999, in so far as not already in force, Part I (and accordingly Schedules 1 to 3) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999, which provide for establishment of the Greater London Authority.
