The Commissioners of Customs and Excise, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972F1, being the department designatedF2 for the purpose of that subsection in relation to the receipt, regulation and control of statistics relating to the trading of goods between the United Kingdom and other member States of the Communities and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Statistics of Trade (Customs and Excise) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 1st January 2000.

In regulation 3(1) of the Statistics of Trade (Customs and Excise) Regulations 1992 F3 for “£230,000", in each place where it occurs, there shall be substituted “£233,000".

The Statistics of Trade (Customs and Excise) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 F4 are hereby revoked.
