The Railways (Alternative Closure Procedure) (Amendment) Order 1999
Citation and commencement1.
(1)
This Order may be cited as the Railways (Alternative Closure Procedure) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 13th December 1999.
(2)
Amendment of the 1994 Order2.
Article 2 of the 1994 Order shall be amended as follows—
(a)
the word “and” at the end of paragraph (i) shall be deleted;
(b)
“and
(iii)
article 4(1) of the Docklands Light Railway (Lewisham Extension) (Exemptions) Order 1999”3; and
(c)
“London Docklands Railway (Lewisham) Act 1993”4.

This Order amends the Railway (Alternative Closure Procedure) Order 1994 (“the 1994 Order”) by adding the railway passenger services operated on the network constructed pursuant to powers conferred by the London Docklands Railway (Lewisham) Act 1993 to the services designated in 1994 Order as railway passenger services in relation to which Schedule 5 of the Railways Act 1993 is to have effect. Schedule 5 contains provisions relating to the discontinuance of railway passenger services.
