The Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Tolls Order 1999

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions in exercise of the power conferred by subsection (4) of section 17 of the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Act 19881 and within the period of seven days next following 1st August 1999, which is the next revision date for the purposes of that subsection, as defined by subsection (3) of the said section 17, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Tolls Order 1999 and shall, in accordance with section 17(11) of the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Act 1988, come into force on 1st September 1999.

The toll leviable in respect of each of the classes of vehicles set out in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order shall be of the amount set out or described opposite thereto in column (2) of that Schedule.

For the purposes of determining the class of vehicles to which a trailer belongs, a trailer which, when being drawn, is attached to the vehicle drawing it by partial superimposition shall be regarded as part of the vehicle drawing it and not as a separate vehicle.

The Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Tolls Order 19982 is hereby revoked.
