The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 45(2) of the Access to Justice Act 19991, makes the following Order–

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Appointment of Queen’s Counsel Fees Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st September 1999.

Fee upon application for recommendation for appointment as Queen’s Counsel in England and Wales2

Where a person applies to the Lord Chancellor to be recommended for appointment as Queen’s Counsel in England and Wales, he shall pay a fee of £335.
