The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 45(2) of the Access to Justice Act 1999(1), makes the following Order–
1. This Order may be cited as the Appointment of Queen’s Counsel Fees Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st September 1999.
2. Where a person applies to the Lord Chancellor to be recommended for appointment as Queen’s Counsel in England and Wales, he shall pay a fee of £335.

This Order specifies the amount of the fee payable by a person who wishes to apply to the Lord Chancellor to be recommended for appointment as Queen’s Counsel in England and Wales.
