Coming into force
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721 in relation to measures relating to maritime transport2, and having consulted the persons referred to in section 86(4) of the Merchant Shipping Act 19953 in so far as the following Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 85 and 864 of that Act, in exercise of the powers conferred by–
- (i)
section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, and
- (ii)
sections 85(1)(a) and (b), (3), (5) to (7) and 86(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995,
and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
