Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 126(4) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and section 18(6) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations:–

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Indicative Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 1st July 1999.

Amendment of the National Health Service (Indicative Amounts) Regulations 19972

The National Health Service (Indicative Amounts) Regulations 19973 shall be amended in accordance with this regulation.

In paragraph 2 of regulation 1–

a

the definition of “Welsh Health Common Services Authority” is omitted;

b

after the definition of “the 1990 Act” there is inserted ““Bro Taf Health Authority” means the health authority of that name established by the Health Authorities (Wales) Establishment Order 19964.”.

In paragraph 3 of regulation 2 for “Welsh Health Common Services Authority” there is substituted “Bro Taf Health Authority”.

These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Indicative Amounts) Regulations 1997 so as to provide for the Bro Taf Health Authority to perform the function previously performed under those Regulations by the Welsh Health Common Services Authority. The Welsh Health Common Services Authority was abolished, by the Welsh Health Common Services Authority (Abolition) Order, on 1st April 1999.
