TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (Commencement) Order 1999

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 18(3) of the Public Interest Disclosure Act 19981, hereby makes the following Order:–

Citation1

This Order may be cited as the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (Commencement) Order 1999.

Commencement2

The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998, so far as not already in force, shall come into force on 2nd July 1999.

This Order brings into force on 2nd July 1999 all the provisions of the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (“the Act”) which did not come into force on the passing of the Act. The provisions of the Act which came into force on its passing are sections 17 and 18 and, for certain purposes, sections 1 and 8.
