The Countryside Access (Amendment) Regulations 1999

Coming into force
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State, being Ministers designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community, acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred on them by that section, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:–
Title, commencement and extent1
These Regulations may be cited as the Countryside Access (Amendment) Regulations 1999, shall come into force on 11th May 1999, and shall apply to England and Wales.
Amendment of the principal Regulations

In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Countryside Access Regulations 19943.

After regulation 12 of the principal Regulations there shall be inserted the following regulation:–
Closing date for applications for aid13
The Secretary of State shall not make a payment of aid under these Regulations in relation to land in Wales unless an application for aid under regulation 5 in relation to such land is received by him before 11th May 1999.
