The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in pursuance of sections 1(1) and 1(4) of the School Inspections Act 1996(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in England) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 31st August 1999.
2. Christopher Anthony Woodhead is hereby re-appointed Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in England for a period of four years from 1st September 1999.
