The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 165A of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 19801, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the council of the London borough of Newham, hereby makes the following Order—

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the London Docklands Development Corporation (Transfer of Property, Rights and Liabilities) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 31st March 1998.

Transfer of property, rights and liabilities2

There are hereby transferred to the Secretary of State the shares in the share capital of Docklands Light Railway Limited (company number 2052677) which are for the time being vested in the London Docklands Development Corporation, together with any rights and liabilities which the London Docklands Development Corporation has in relation to those shares2.

This Order transfers to the Secretary of State the shares in Docklands Light Railway Limited which are for the time being vested in the London Docklands Development Corporation, together with any rights and liabilities of the Corporation relating to those shares. It is proposed that the Corporation will be dissolved on 1st July 1998.
