The Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Jersey) (Amendment) Order 1998

This Order may be cited as the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Jersey) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 18th May 1998.

after subsection (12), there shall be added—“(13)
In subsections (1), (3), (4) and (5) above, “prescribed” means prescribed by order of the Committee.”

after subsection (5), there shall be added—“(6)
the Subordinate Legislation (Jersey) Law, 1960 as amended shall apply to an order made by the Committee under this Act as if this Act were an enactment for the purposes of that Law.”
This Order amends Part II of Schedule 1 to the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Jersey) Order 1990 (which specifies modifications to provisions of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 in their extension to the Bailiwick of Jersey) so as to provide that orders made under that Act by the Harbours and Airport Committee of the States of Jersey shall be made in accordance with the Subordinate Legislation (Jersey) Law, 1960, as amended; and, further, that a notice published or given by the Committee under section 78 of that Act (regulation of noise and vibration from aircraft) shall be made in the manner prescribed by an order of the Committee.
