The Welfare Food (Amendment) Regulations 1998

The Secretary of State for Health in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(3) and (4) of the Social Security Act 19881 and section 175(2) to (5) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19922 and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Welfare Food (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 6th April 1998.
Amendment of regulation 7 of the Welfare Food Regulations 19962.
In regulation 7(1) of the Welfare Food Regulations 19963 (purchase of dried milk at a reduced price) for “£3.75” there shall be substituted “£3.85”.

These Regulations amend regulation 7 of the Welfare Food Regulations 1996 to increase the price payable for dried milk by a person entitled to purchase it at a reduced price, from £3.75 to £3.85 for 900 grammes per week.
