The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 6(6) and (7) of the Museums and Galleries Act 1992(1), and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby orders as follows:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as The Museums and Galleries Act 1992 (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.
Amendment of Schedule 5 to the Museums and Galleries Act 1992
2.—(1) In Part II of Schedule 5 to the Museums and Galleries Act 1992, after “The Trustees of the Ulster Folk Transport Museum” there shall be inserted—
“The Board of Trustees of The National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland”.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends Schedule 5 to the Museums and Galleries Act 1992 to include The Board of Trustees of the National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland, as established by the Museums and Galleries (Northern Ireland) Order 1998.
