Nature and functions of the trust

3.—(1) The trust is established for the purpose specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act—

(i) Royal Gwent Hospital, Cardiff Road, Newport, NP9 2UB,

(ii) Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, NP7 7EG,

(iii) Llanfrechfa Grange Hospital, Cwmbran, NP44 8YN,

and associated hospitals and premises, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services and community health services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act hospital accommodation and services at—

(i) Chepstow Community Hospital, Chepstow,

(ii) the Llanwenarth Unit, Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny NP7 7EG; and

(c) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act community health services from—

(i) Chepstow Community Hospital, Chepstow,

(ii) 7 Sandpiper Way, Dyffryn, Newport,

(iii) Oakfield Street Surgery, Ystrad Mynach.
