The Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No.13) (Scotland) Order 1998

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him under section 125(3) of the Environment Act 19951, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation1

This Order may be cited as the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No.13) (Scotland) Order 1998.

Provision coming into force on 1 January 19992

Section 59 of the Environment Act 1995 (insofar as that section is not already in force) shall come into force on 1st January 1999.

Article 2 brings into force on 1st January 1999 section 59 of the Environment Act 1995 insofar as it is not already in force. This inserts sections 30Y and 30Z into the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (abandoned mines).
