The Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 (Commencement No.2) Order 1998

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 63(2) of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 19921, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation1

This Order may be cited as the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 (Commencement No.2) Order 1998.

Appointed day2

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 is 21st November 1998–

a

sections 7 to 10;

b

Schedule 1; and

c

Schedule 9, paragraphs 4(3) and 5(3) so far as not already in force.

This Order brings into force on 21st November 1998 those provisions of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 which are not already in force. The provisions relate to the Scottish Further Education Funding Council.
