The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 6(7) and 7(3)(c) of, and paragraph 1(b) of Schedule 1 to, the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Political Parties (Fees) Order 1998.
(2) This article and article 2 shall come into force on 3rd December 1998 and articles 3 and 4 shall come into force on 14th January 1999.
(3) In this Order “the Act” means the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998.
2. The fee for an application by a party under section 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Act for inclusion in the register of political parties is £150.
3. The fee for an application by a party under section 6 of the Act to alter its entry in the register is £25.
4. The fee for a notice under section 7 of the Act by the registered leader of a party notifying the registrar that the party is to remain registered is £25.
