Coming into force
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England, the Secretary of State for Scotland in relation to Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2 and 3 of the Plant Health Act 19671 and now vested in them2 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Title and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Plant Health (Great Britain) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 7th October 1998.
Amendment of the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 19932
After article 25(1)(c) of the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 19933 there shall be added–
d
for the purposes of the examinations referred to in sub-paragraph (a) of this paragraph, where those examinations relate to any plant, plant product or other object imported from a third country, require the occupier or other person in charge of the premises in which the examination is taking place to provide–
i
suitable areas for inspection, where appropriate;
ii
adequate lighting; and
iii
inspection tables.
