2.—(1) The financial services(1) work of the council of the district of Chiltern shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out during the period beginning with 1st April 1999 and ending on 31st March 2000.
(2) The financial services work of the council of the district of Lewes shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out during the period beginning with 1st April 1999 and ending on 31st March 2001.
