Coming into force
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 2(1) and 26(1) of the County Courts Act 19841, section 99(1) of the Supreme Court Act 19812, section 33(1) of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 19843, section 67(1) and (2) of the Race Relations Act 19764 and sections 117(4) and 374 of the Insolvency Act 19865 hereby makes the following Order–
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 7th September 1998.
Interpretation2
In this Order, “the 1983 Order” means the Civil Courts Order 19836, and a Schedule referred to by number alone means the Schedule so numbered in that Order.
Amendments to the 1983 Order

In Schedule 1–
a
“Holywell” shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for“Rhyl” in the first column; and
b
the entry relating to Rochdale shall be deleted.

In Schedule 3 the entries relating to “Holywell” and “Rochdale” shall be deleted7.
